中国科学院自然科学史研究所主办的2010国际机构与机器学史学术研讨会（2010 workshop on the history of mechanism and machines，简称hmm2010）于2010年10月12-14日在北京举行。
张柏春研究员与marco ceccarelli教授共同担任会议主席。此次研讨会主要设4项议题：（1）the invention of ancient mechanisms and machines，（2）the shaping of modern mechanisms and machine science，（3）the transformation of knowledge about mechanisms and machines，（4）interaction of machinery technology with society，汇集了12个学术报告及相关讨论。来自中国大陆、中国台湾、意大利、荷兰、韩国等国家和地区的20余位学者出席会议。参会的还有中国科学院自然科学史研究所、清华大学、北京航空航天大学、首都师范大学、北京科技大学、复旦大学、北京邮电大学等科研单位与高校的师生。
我所研究人员贡献了三场报告，分别是：
（1） 张柏春：archaeology of lever law
（2） 关晓武：the ways to transmit, preserve and perform the technical knowledge in the evolution of the grand waterwheel of lanzhou
（3） 孙烈：the shanghai’s 120mn hydraulic forging press
hmm系列研讨会由国际机构与机器科学史永久委员会（permanent commission for the history of mechanism and machine science, iftomm）组办。该委员会成立于1973年，隶属于国际机构学和机器科学联合会（international federation for the promotion of mechanism and machine science, 简称iftomm）。hmm研讨会旨在交流和探讨机器与机构的历史及相关学科史的研究成果。hmm2010为该系列研讨会首次在中国大陆举行。担任此次共同主席之一的marco ceccarelli教授是世界著名的机构学、机器人学、机械史领域的专家，现任国际机构学和机器科学联合会主席。
会议期间，marco ceccarelli教授、teun koetiser教授、颜鸿森教授、张柏春研究员、陆震教授、高瑄教授等委员召开了工作会议，商讨hmm的运作、论文出版等事项。
